General Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. The object
These general terms and conditions of sale define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of the remote reservation of services offered by the establishment "Romantic Artist Room B&B Montmartre" on its site and its Mobile Services.
They govern all the steps necessary for the reservation and the follow-up of the reservation between the contracting parties. All reservations, therefore, imply the client's full and unreserved adherence to these conditions. All customers acknowledge that they have the capacity to contract, i.e. that they are of legal majority and are not under guardianship or curatorship.
The names "establishment" and "site" refer throughout this text to the site named and correspond to the domain name that can be consulted at

In this period of health crisis we would like to inform our customers of two specific elements of our General Sales Conditions:

2. Fields of application
This GTC apply to all bookings made via the internet, the website or mobile services or those of its partners.

3. Enforceability of the general terms and conditions
In any event, the version of the general terms and conditions of sale binding on the customer is that in force at the time of his reservation on the website or mobile services or those of its partners.

4. Reservations
Reservations are made on the website, by e-mail, by post or by telephone. The reservation will be effective only if it is guaranteed by the customer, by communicating a credit card number with validity date, after receipt of payment a detailed booking confirmation is sent to the customer.
Visa and Master Card are accepted by the establishment for payment, not other cards or holiday vouchers.
Payments by bank cheques are not accepted.
Payment is made at the time of booking for the entire duration of the stay.

5. Payment
The client must present himself at the establishment with the credit card that enabled him to make the reservation. The establishment may ask him/her for an identity card in order to prevent the risk of credit card fraud.
Payment is debited at the time of booking.
In the event of damage or breakage in the room during the client's stay, a charge may be made to the client's credit card for the amount of the damage with a presentation of the invoice to the client.

6. Modifications of the stay
Any modification of the stay must be requested by e-mail to the establishment or by telephone. The request will only become effective once the establishment has confirmed its acceptance in writing.
In case of a modification of stay, the following conditions apply (except in case of force majeure):
In case of no-show on the date of arrival, the client cannot claim a refund.
-Any stay started is entirely due.

7. Cancellation of stay
Any cancellation of stay will have to be the subject of a request by e-mail to the establishment or by telephone. The request will only become effective once the establishment has confirmed its acceptance in writing.
In case of cancellation of stay, the following conditions apply (except in case of force majeure):
-For all cancellation requests, a credit note valid for 18 months will be given to the client, the establishment does not refund cancellations.
-Any stay booked and started is fully due.

8. Force majeure
Force majeure is understood to mean any event outside the parties that are unforeseeable, insurmountable and external to the parties that prevent either the client or the establishment from fulfilling all or part of the obligations provided for in the contract.
Are considered as cases of force majeure or fortuitous those usually recognized by the jurisprudence of the French Courts and Tribunals.
Each party shall not be held liable to the other party in the event of non-performance of its obligations resulting from an event of force majeure.
It is expressly agreed that an event of force majeure suspends the parties' performance of their mutual obligations and that each party shall bear the costs arising therefrom.

***In the case of COVID-19, the establishment accepts last-minute modifications and stays if a new containment or traffic restriction should be decided by the government.***
A credit note valid for 18 months will be sent to the customer in accordance with the order n°2020-315 of March 25, in case of cancellation and refusal of the credit note the refund will be made after 18 months.

9. Awards
Prices are always indicated in EUROS.
The establishment is not subject to VAT, the tourist tax is included in the price indicated in the confirmation.
The prices indicated only include the service indicated in the reservation.

10. Claims and disputes
All complaints must be made to the establishment within 7 days from the date of stay.
Failing recourse to the conventional mediation procedure or to any alternative method of dispute settlement within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the competent judicial court.

11. Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the establishment to take all guarantees and insurance necessary for the reception of the public in its establishment and the exercise of its activity.
The establishment's responsibility in the event of theft of goods or objects when they have been entrusted to its custody only.
The customer must ensure the custody of his goods and objects. The customer must inform the establishment of any damage he may have caused. He is responsible for all damage caused by his intermediary and undertakes in the event of damage to the premises placed at his disposal to bear the costs of restoration.
Also, any behaviour contrary to good morals, public order, or considered as endangering the life of others, will lead the establishment to ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation and or without any refund if a payment has already been made. In the event that no payment has yet been made, the client will have to pay the price of the nights consumed before leaving the establishment.

***In the case of COVID-19, the customer being warned, the payment of the stay will be due in its entirety. In the event that a client presents symptoms during their stay, the establishment will impose isolation in their room and a temperature reading. If the client refuses or if the client voluntarily conceals symptoms, the establishment has the right to refuse the service and end the client's stay. The remainder of the stay will be due. ***

The customer undertakes not to invite any person whose behaviour is likely to be prejudicial to the establishment, the latter reserving the right to intervene if necessary.

We would like to remind our friendly guests that the rooms are rented to adults only, the capacity of the rooms is two people per room maximum, no extra beds can be provided. Our guest rooms are located on the first floor without a lift and are not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Children are not accepted. Pets are accepted on request (a cleaning supplement will be applied).
